Green Home Made From Concrete Converted to Live Classroom.
Chester County, PA's newest green home currently under construction was converted into a hands-on concrete form classroom for the benefit of architects, builders, engineers and government officials.
Powering up in Phoenixville. Franklin Commons flipped the switch on the new solar panels that will power the common areas in the building. The 25-kilowatt system has 106 solar panels that will offset 30% of the building's electric bill.
2010 Watershed Stewardship Awards. Chester County Water Resources Authority recently presented the 2010 Watershed Stewardship Awards to Brandywine Valley Association and Charles Jacob, Warwick Township Board of Supervisors Chair. Brandywine Valley Association was recognized for their 65 years of stewardship of the Brandywine Valley Watershed, and the Association's valuable efforts to protect water resources in Chester County. Charles Jacob was recognized for his life-long commitment to the protection of water resources and open space preservation, particularly in the watersheds of northern Chester County.
